I designed and built a responsive web app for Rural Digital Kenya that showcases their work bringing computer literacy, AI skills, web app development, and entrepreneurship training to rural communities. The app presents program overviews, impact stories, and clear donation/partnership pathways so prospective donors and partners can quickly understand what the organization does and where their support goes.
My focus was on clarity and accessibility: plain-language program pages for community audiences, concise impact highlights for donors, and an intuitive content structure that reduces friction for both audiences. The result is a polished, trustworthy presence that helps Rural Digital Kenya demonstrate progress, attract funding, and deepen community engagement.
Challenge — Rural Digital Kenya needed a single app that speaks clearly to two very different audiences: donors (who want measurable impact and trust signals) and rural learners (who need simple, actionable program info).
Approach — I mapped donor and learner journeys, simplified program copy into plain language, and designed a mobile-first layout optimized for low-bandwidth connections. Key features: impact highlights, program timelines, easy donation / partnership CTAs, and field-friendly content for farmer/learner access.
Result — Delivered a clean, accessible web app that makes Rural Digital Kenya’s programs easy to understand, supports fundraising conversations, and improves information access for rural learners.
